Set to return Week 8 Conklin (knee) will play Sunday against Pittsburgh, Marla Ridnour of the Akron Beacon Journal reports. Impact Conklin, who was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice, sat out Week 7 against Denver after sustaining an injury during the previous week's road loss to the Chargers. The right tackle's return, along with the presence of left tackle Jedrick Wills, who played every snap against Denver after sitting out two weeks with an ankle injury, means the Browns will have the starting offensive line intact for the first time since Week 4. That's not an insignificant bit of news. Having the starting unit together should help clear paths for Nick Chubb (calf) and protect Baker Mayfield (shoulder), should they return to action this week.
