Xavier Worthy - Finds preseason end zone Worthy caught three passes for 63 yards and one touchdown on six targets in Saturday's preseason game against Detroit. Impact Worthy played extensively with the first-team offense, drawing five of Patrick Mahomes' 14 passes and catching two receptions for 40 yards before catching his only Carson Wentz target for a 22-yard touchdown. While the big touchdown catch occurred with Wentz rather than Mahomes, it's still impressive to see the ease with which Worthy got open for the touchdown. The 21-year-old rookie still has learning to do and at just 5-foot-11, 165 pounds there might be some physical development for Worthy to work on, too, but the Chiefs are clearly making it a priority to season Worthy as quickly as possible. It might be tough for Worthy to catch Marquise Brown (sternoclavicular) during the 2024 season, but Worthy's full arrival in the Kansas City offense is likely a matter of When rather than If.
