Impact Ammendola missed field-goal attempts of 55 and 40 yards in Sunday's 24-17 loss to the Dolphins and now has missed four kicks in total over the past five weeks. Given the struggles of the Jets offense to consistently produce touchdowns on a weekly basis, having a reliable option in the kicking game is essential, and Ammendola's 69 percent success rate on field-goal attempts isn't getting the job done. Unfortunately for the 24-year-old rookie, he doesn't have an NFL track record to fall back on, which could make it easier for the Jets to pull the plug on him than if he were a struggling veteran.

Though the Jets have an appealing matchup in Week 12 against the Texans, Ammendola will be tough to trust considering he's just 11-for-16 on field-goal attempts this season.
