Michael Carter II - Good to go for Week 2 Coach Robert Saleh said Friday that Carter (ankle) will practice in full and will suit up for Sunday's road matchup against the Titans, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Carter dealt with an ankle injury during training camp, and during Monday night's loss to the 49ers he was forced out due to what seemed to be the same issue, but Saleh said every player on the Jets' injury report is slated to practice in full and play Sunday. It sounds like Carter is expected to handle his usual assortment of defensive snaps as New York's top slot cornerback versus Tennessee.

Micheal Clemons - Will suit up vs. Titans Coach Robert Saleh said Friday that Clemons (triceps) will practice in full and is ready for Sunday's game against the Titans, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Clemons was limited in practice Thursday due to a triceps issue, but he's ready to suit up for Sunday's road matchup against Tennessee. The 27-year-old defensive end played 43 percent of defensive snaps during Monday night's loss to the 49ers, tallying two tackles (one solo) and 1.0 sacks.

Impact Reed practiced in a limited capacity Thursday, but it doesn't look like his knee injury will hamper him Week 2. The starting cornerback played every defensive snap in Monday's loss to the 49ers, racking up nine total tackles (seven solo) and defended one pass.

Mike Williams - Ready for more snaps Week 2 Coach Robert Saleh said Friday that Williams will play an increased role Sunday versus the Titans after having been under a 15-play limit Week 1, Connor Hughes of SNY.tv reports.
Impact Williams only handled nine offensive snaps during Monday's 32-19 loss to the 49ers, his first game since suffering a torn ACL last September. The veteran wideout was essentially used as a decoy in his Jets debut, and even if his workload increases against Tennessee, Williams will likely need to continue ramping up for a bit before he can handle a full assortment of snaps as a starter. Until then, Garrett Wilson and Allen Lazard figure to continue working as Aaron Rodgers' top two wide receivers.

Impact Despite playing every defensive snap in Monday's loss to the 49ers, Reed has been limited in practice this week. However, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com noted Wednesday that head coach Robert Salah expects the 27-year-old to be able to play Sunday against the Titans. Barring any setbacks, Reed should be on the field in Week 2.

Impact Clemons was a full participant Wednesday, so he may have suffered the injury during practice. A late-week downgrade usually doesn't lead to positive results for a player suiting up on gameday, but considering he was able to practice in a limited fashion, it might not be all bad for the 27-year-old. If he is unable to suit up, the team may have to lean on Takkarist McKinley and Will McDonald more to help generate a pass rush against the Titans.

Impact Reed was one of the few bright spots on the Jets' defense in Week 1, tying C.J. Mosley for the second-most total tackles on either team Monday night. The 27-year-old cornerback had one of the best seasons of his career in 2023, appearing in 15 regular-season games, recording 76 total tackles and defending nine passes, including one interception. Expect Reed to continue causing problems for opposing quarterbacks as the Jets travel to Tennessee in Week 2.
