Impact Hall has been simulating star 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey in practice to help the Jets' defense prepare for the season opener, and Hall's one of the few running backs with comparable versatility and explosiveness to McCaffrey, as Hall's 1,585 scrimmage yards in the 2023 regular season were second among NFL running backs behind McCaffrey's 2,023. Michael Carter II - Inks contract extension Carter (ankle) and the Jets agreed on a three-year, $33 million contract extension Tuesday, Jordan Schultz of BleacherReport.com reports.

Impact Carter has quickly become one of the top slot cornerbacks in the NFL, racking up 50 total tackles (37 solo), nine pass deflections and a forced fumble over 15 contests with the Jets in 2023. The 25-year-old will now stick around New York for the foreseeable future, securing $19 million in guaranteed money. Carter has been dealing with an ankle issue ahead of the 2024 season and his status on the team's injury report this week will be worth monitoring prior to their matchup with the 49ers on Monday Night Football.

Impact Saleh said if Reddick shows up to play Week 1 the team could still opt for him to suit up, if he's deemed to be in game shape after having missed all of training camp. The veteran pass-rusher has already accumulated $2.05 million in fines for missing training camp, per Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic, in addition to penalties for missing mandatory minicamp and forfeiting his workout bonus. If Reddick's holdout continues into the regular season, though, he'll be subjected to massive fines of $791,666 per missed game.
