T.J. Edwards - Ascends into starting role Edwards is listed as the Eagles' top middle linebacker heading into Sunday's game against the Chargers, Mike Kaye of The Newark Star-Ledger reports. Impact Edwards already looked to be trending toward a promotion atop the depth chart after he amassed 13 tackles while playing a season-high 66 percent of the Eagles' defensive snaps in the team's Week 8 win over the Lions. The team's previous starter, Eric Wilson, was a healthy inactive for that contest before he was ultimately released Wednesday, clearing the way for Edwards to handle a full-time role moving forward. Rookie third-round pick Davion Taylor is also expected to benefit from increased snaps following Wilson's release.
