Bears receiver Marshall taken to hospital after hit to ribs

Chicago Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall has been taken from Soldier Field in an ambulance to an area hospital, apparently as a result of a hit sustained during Thursday night's game against the Cowboys.

Marshall was hurt taking a knee to the right side from the Cowboys' Barry Church moments after he made a spectacular 42-yard catch, juggling the ball with his right hand, to help set up a second-quarter touchdown.

He stayed down for several minutes and gingerly walked off the field. He then headed to the locker room, and TV cameras showed him leaving Soldier Field in an ambulance.

The Bears originally listed his return as questionable due to a rib injury, but CBS Sports sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson confirmed the receiver was indeed headed for the hospital after undergoing tests in the locker room.

Marshall finished the game with three receptions for 61 yards. He has 61 catches for 721 yards and eight TDs this season.
