Colin Kaepernick says he will donate first $1 million he makes this year to help people

Following the San Francisco 49ers' final game of the preseason, the controversial Colin Kaepernick took to the postgame podium to discuss why he elected to not stand during the national anthem once again.

During the press conference, Kaepernick answered several inquiries regarding his actions — going into detail about a meeting with former Green Beret turned long snapper Nate Boyer, and how they discussed alternative ways to protest while displaying support for the U.S. military (kneeling).

The highlight of the session was Kaepernick making a bold pledge, saying he will donate the first $1 million he makes this season to community organizations that help people:
