Raiders QB Derek Carr will have surgery to repair broken leg suffered vs. Colts
The Oakland Raiders’ dream season suffered a nightmare scenario Saturday against the Colts. Quarterback Derek Carr was helped off the field in obvious pain after suffering what later was revealed to be a broken fibula in his right leg in the fourth quarter of the Raiders' 33-25 win.
Raiders head coach Jack Del Rio said Carr suffered a broken fibula in his right leg. The Pro Bowl quarterback is scheduled to have surgery Sunday and will be out indefinitely.

With the Raiders leading 33-14, Carr dropped back and had his legs rolled up on by a defender on second-and-22. Carr stayed on the ground and called to the sideline for help.
After being attended to on the sideline, Carr was carted off the field without putting any pressure on his right leg. Matt McGloin took over for him.
