Eli Manning says Odell Beckham's antics would be an issue if he didn't play well
Odell Beckham’s infatuation with the kicking net continued in the New York Giants’ 27-23 win over the Ravens on Sunday. He placed the net over him and at one point proposed to the inanimate object.
The antics drew the ire of Giants head coach Ben McAdoo, who said, “We need to keep the focus on the ball game.” Beckham also was assessed an unsportsmanlike conduct flag for removing his helmet after one of his two touchdown catches.
But despite all the attention Beckham has drawn, Giants quarterback Eli Manning doesn’t appear to be concerned. During his weekly appearance on WFAN radio Manning said Beckham would be a problem if he weren’t productive.
There’s no denying Beckham’s numbers Sunday, hauling in eight catches for 222 yards and two touchdowns, the second of which sealed the win. But the Giants have to be concerned moving forward about Beckham’s recent actions.
