Giants' J.T. Thomas celebrated his contract with a jewelry spending spree
After bouncing around two teams as a rotational defender, linebacker J.T. Thomas struck gold in free agency this offseason. The New York Giants inked the one-time reserve player to a three-year, $10 million contract with $4.5 million guaranteed. It didn't take long for all of that newly found guaranteed money to make an impact on Thomas' spending habits.
According to media outlet TMZ, after inking his new deal, Thomas went out and dropped $55,000 on new jewelry.
Thomas visited Avianne and Co. in NYC, where he found an 18 karat gold Cuban link chain for $35,000--he bought it. That wasn't all for Thomas' mini-spree. While there, he saw a 25 karat ruby, surrounded by diamond, that he just couldn't pass up. This little piece ran him another $20,000.
All in all, it's safe to say that Thomas is enjoying his new-found wealth.
