New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman exited Sunday's game against the New York Giants in the first quarter with a left foot injury and did not return, but the news got worse shortly after the Patriots' victory.
The injury occurred on a 12-yard third-down catch by Edelman, as his foot was rolled on by Giants linebacker Jasper Brinkley. Edelman limped off the field in obvious pain and was examined by the medical staff on the sideline.
