Robert Myers played guard at Tennessee State. Myers, who is originally from Nashville, Tennessee, made himself eligible for the 2015 NFL Draft. He teamed up with FOX Sports to do a Draft Diary, a sporadic series that will run up until the draft. Myers will take you through the process of training for the Senior Bowl, the NFL Combine, his pro day and the anticipation for draft day. Here is his second entry, in his own words. (Part 1)

We're days away from the NFL Combine and I couldn't be more excited.

All of the work that I have put in over the past couple months is for this moment.

The entire Combine is extremely important, from the on-field drills to the interviews. I'm looking forward to getting in front of the coaches and general managers to show off my professional side, my high football IQ and attention to detail. I will put my football mentality in everything I do. I also can't wait to display my athletic ability with the offensive linemen in the drills. Those are going to be the main focus points of the NFL Combine next week.

I have talked to two of my former teammates, Kadeem Edwards and Rogers Gaines, about what to expect. I have a good relationship with them and they've been telling me the things I need to do to be prepared in Indianapolis. They talk a lot about the psychological part that goes into this and how the process can wear you out. I'll be ready for it, though.

I spent last weekend in Los Angeles, learning what it's going to be like in the meeting room and being interviewed. It's all about being a professional.

I got a taste of it at the Senior Bowl when I met with about 20 different teams, but I'm looking at it as an opportunity to show who I am as a man and a competitor. I met with some people who are very knowledgeable with what goes on in those meeting rooms and I feel very prepared.

The Senior Bowl was a good week of practice. I hurt my ankle a little bit that week, but right now I'm feeling great.

I'm a high-motor guy when it comes to long days. Working with my trainer Pete Bommarito, he does a very good job of making sure we're up early and dragging out our days so we can be prepared physically and mentally for this process. We wake up at 6:30 in the morning and go through a long day. I think I'll be ready.

This is an opportunity of a lifetime and I feel blessed that I'm in this situation. For someone who didn't play any football until my senior season in high school, I'm extremely fortunate and blessed.

The stage doesn't get any bigger and I can't wait to play football as my job! I do it because football is my life, but it always feels good to see my mother happy. She did a great job raising six kids and is the hardest worker I have ever seen. Its time to head to Indy and will catch up with everyone as soon as I get back! Wish me luck!
