Sam Bradford demands trade from Eagles

Sam Bradford has asked the Philadelphia Eagles to trade him and will no longer participate in the team's offseason program, FOX Sports NFL Insider Mike Garafolo has confirmed.

The news was first reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Last week, the Eagles traded up for the No. 2 overall pick in Thursday's draft, presumably to take a quarterback, which reportedly upset Bradford. According to Schefter, the move has the Eagles quarterback "hot," and the jilted QB "wants to show everyone who's best."

Shortly after Philly made the trade with Cleveland, Eagles executive vice president of football operations Howie Roseman said the team would not move Bradford.

Earlier this offseason, the Eagles signed Bradford to a 2-year, $36 million extension. Many thought Philly grossly overpaid Bradford, especially considering his underwhelming production. The contract looks even worse now that it's clear the organization doesn't see him as a franchise quarterback.
