Steelers QB Roethlisberger out several weeks with mid-foot sprain

PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger left Sunday's game against the Oakland Raiders with an injured left foot.

After the game, Roethlisberger learned he has a mid-foot sprain and will be out several weeks, FOX Sports 1's NFL insider Mike Garafolo confirmed.

Roethlisberger was sacked by Oakland's Aldon Smith midway through the fourth quarter and was slow to get up. He slowly made his way to the sideline, hopping on his right leg the entire time. Roethlisberger, who missed four weeks with a sprained ligament in his left knee earlier in the season, was quickly taken to the locker room for evaluation.

Roethlisberger was 24 of 44 for 334 yards with two touchdowns and an interception at the time of the injury. He passed Hall of Famers Johnny Unitas and Joe Montana to move into 13th on the NFL's career yards passing list earlier in the game.

The Steelers held off the Raiders, 38-35.
