Robert Griffin reportedly has picked his perfect landing spot
There are a few teams out there in dire need for a quarterback (see Denver), but it appears one of the bigger names in the QB market knows where he'd love to go.
Robert Griffin III "very much" wants to play for the newly christened Los Angeles Rams, The LA Daily News reported Thursday.
The former Washington Redskins quarterback was cut earlier this week and should be in demand but a number of clubs. Griffin has been hit hard by a number of injuries since being named Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2012.
Robert Griffin took a beating during his time with the Redskins.
Griffin has struggled to be a pure pocket quarterback and lost his starting job to Kirk Cousins last year. RG3 threw for 1,694 yards, four touchdowns and six interceptions in seven starts in 2015.
It was a significant drop-off from his rookie campaign, when he threw for 3,200 yards, 20 touchdowns and five interceptions to beat Andrew Luck for top offensive rookie honors.
The Rams didn’t get much from their quarterbacks last season. Nick Foles went 4-7 in 11 starts and threw for 2,052 yards, seven touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Case Keenum was a little better, going 3-2 in five starts, throwing for 828 yards, four touchdowns and one pick.
