Richard Sherman on sideline tirade: We've seen how goal-line passes work out
Richard Sherman has seen a Super Bowl slip through his fingers thanks to a questionable play call at the goal-line, which is why he was so upset during the Seattle Seahawks' blowout win over the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday night.
When the Seahawks chose to pass the ball from the 1-yard line on first-and-goal in the third quarter, nearly surrendering an interception that was overturned thanks to a technicality, Sherman was seen erupting on the sidelines at Seattle's offensive coaching staff, specifically offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell, according to multiple reporters.

After the game, however, Sherman explained that Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll was the object of his ire — and sure enough, he referenced Seattle's heartbreaking loss to the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLIX in his response.

"I'm upset about us throwing from the 1," Sherman said afterward. "I'd rather do what most teams would do, making a conscientious decision to run the ball." [...]
"Yeah, I was letting [Carroll] know. We've already seen how that goes," Sherman added. " ... I'm sure you guys have seen that play enough times."
"Between what he was saying and what Doug [Baldwin] was saying, Doug was saying, 'Give me the ball.' And Richard was saying something else," Carroll said. "I needed those two guys to go sit down and have a little timeout and talk it over what we should do next.
"I'm not even worried about it one bit, not one bit. I don't know. I talked to him on the sidelines, and he was jacked up and ready to go. He went out and played a good series after that. What was said in there, it doesn't matter. I know you would love to know more. You'll probably figure out more. But I don't care."
