Titans officially on the clock with the No. 1 overall pick

Sunday's 30-24 loss to the Indianapolis Colts was the 13th and final defeat in what was a difficult season for the Tennessee Titans. But with that defeat came a substantial silver lining.

The Titans finished the regular season with the NFL's worst record, thereby securing the first pick in next April's NFL Draft.

A season ago, the Titans finished 2-14 and selected quarterback Marcus Mariota with the second overall pick. A year later, Tennessee improved its record by one game, while also improving its draft position one spot.

With plenty of areas on the roster in need of an upgrade, the Titans will consider themselves lucky if they have as much success with their 2016 first-rounder as they did with Mariota. The former Heisman Trophy winner started 12 games as rookie and had 19 touchdown passes and 10 interceptions before an MCL injury ended his season in Week 15.

The Browns, also 3-13 but against a tougher strength of schedule, will pick second in April, and here's an early mock draft from FOX's Peter Schrager.
