Zach Strief looking to help groom eventual replacement Andrus Peat

You'd have to imagine that, for most players in the NFL, grooming your eventual replacement would be a bit uncomfortable. Apparently, Zach Strief isn't that type of a person, though, according to Larry Holder of NOLA.com.

Holder reports that the 32-year-old Strief, is fully aware that his eventual replacement was drafted by the New Orleans Saints this offseason. That man is Andrus Peat from Stanford and Peat should be prepared to get all of the help he can imagine.

"Lucky for Andrus that the guy I was chasing down was about as good to me as anyone could have been to me," Strief told NOLA.com. "You look back at anybody in any situation and you kind of draw from and what you knew from your experiences. My experience is that when that guy is chasing you down, you're still helping that guy."

Strief continued by saying that he felt he really owed it to the organization to help in any way he could, according to Holder.

"At this point, I feel like I owe it to the organization to be like that," said Strief, one of the last vestiges of the Super Bowl 44 championship team.

Well, the good news for the Saints is that Peat is going to have plenty of help in adjusting to the NFL throughout the early stages of his career, which is great news for Drew Brees and the rest of this offense.
