Trey Palmer - Pair of catches in Week 8 loss Palmer brought in both targets for 29 yards and returned two punts for 31 yards in the Buccaneers' 31-26 loss to the Falcons on Sunday.
Impact Palmer was in line for extended opportunity due to the absences of Mike Evans (hamstring) and Chris Godwin (IR-ankle), and he indeed logged 51 snaps (70 percent). However, Palmer's numbers left much to be desired, and he's still in search of his first 30+ yard showing of the campaign. The second-year speedster will be on the field plenty again during a Week 9 road matchup against the Chiefs next Monday night.

Sterling Shepard - Three grabs in loss Shepard secured three of five targets for 18 yards in the Buccaneers' 31-26 loss to the Falcons on Sunday.
Impact Shepard's production didn't see a boost despite the absences of Mike Evans (hamstring) and Chris Godwin (IR-ankle) and the fact he logged a robust 45 snaps (62 percent). The veteran wideout does have plenty of familiarity with Baker Mayfield from their college days and has shown some flashes this season, but his production will remain hard to trust in a tough Week 9 road matchup against the defending champion Chiefs next Monday night.

Impact Tampa Bay's top free safety has now played 100-percent of the team's defensive snaps in back-to-back weeks since returning from a foot injury in Week 6. Winfield's seven stops Sunday brought his season total up to 28 tackles through four appearances. The All-Pro from Minnesota is expected to continue making plays as one of the best safeties in the NFL as the season progresses.

Impact The second-year pro from Rutgers was Tampa Bay's second-leading tackler in Sunday's loss, trailing only K.J. Britt's 10-stop effort. Izien has become a vital part of Tampa Bay's secondary this season, recording 40 total tackles and three passes defended, including one interception, through the seven appearances. He's expected to continue making plays as the Buccaneers travel to Kansas City in Week 9.

Impact Britt was the Buccaneers' leading-tackler in Sunday's loss, setting a new season high with 10 total stops. The fourth-year pro from Auburn has now tallied 49 total tackles, including 0.5 sacks, through Tampa Bay's first eight games this year. He's expected to continue starting alongside Lavonte David (ankle) as part of the Buccaneers' top inside linebacker duo as the season progresses.

Impact McMillan filled a de facto No. 1 receiver role in the absence of both Mike Evans (hamstring) and Chris Godwin (IR-knee), but he had trouble establishing early chemistry with Baker Mayfield.
