Impact The 39th overall pick in this year's draft initially was projected to start at left tackle, with the Bears even releasing incumbent starter Charles Leno a few days after they added Jenkins. Coach Matt Nagy simply said that he hopes to get Jenkins back at some point this season, while Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the Bears are eyeing a November return (but also are aware that he may miss the entire season). The team signed a potential replacement earlier this week, bringing in 39-year-old Jason Peters to compete with converted right tackle Elijah Wilkinson.
