Justin Kirkland - Snags assist Thursday Kirkland logged an assist and two hits in Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Bruins.
Impact Kirkland may get more steady playing time while Anthony Mantha (lower body) is on injured reserve. The 28-year-old Kirkland was scratched twice to start November, but it looks like he's got some job security, as he would require waivers to be reassigned to AHL Calgary. He's produced six points, four shots on net, 29 hits, 11 blocked shots and a plus-4 rating over 11 outings this season.

Ryan Lomberg - Offers assist in overtime loss Lomberg recorded an assist in Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Bruins.
Impact The helper was Lomberg's second of the campaign, snapping a seven-game slump. The 29-year-old winger is in the lineup for energy and toughness, though he's gone two games without a hit. He's added seven shots on net, 28 hits, 11 PIM and a plus-1 rating over 14 contests as a fixture on the Flames' fourth line.

MacKenzie Weegar - Logs power-play assist Weegar registered a power-play assist, four shots on goal and three blocked shots in Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Bruins.
Impact Weegar has been rather quiet on offense with two assists over his last eight games. The defenseman is up to six points, 34 shots on net, 36 hits, 34 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating over 14 appearances. He'll be in a position to put up good numbers throughout the year -- he's averaging 23:32 of ice time per game, including 3:17 on the power play. Even when he's not scoring, he usually makes a contribution through physical play.

Tyson Barrie - Scores first goal of season Barrie scored a goal on two shots in Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Bruins.
Impact Barrie has two points while playing in the Flames' last five games. Still, his spot in the lineup is not secure -- Jake Bean and Brayden Pachal are also in contention for third-pairing minutes. Barrie has two points, 11 shots on net, six hits, two blocked shots and a minus-1 rating over seven appearances this season. His lack of stable playing time makes him a risky fantasy option.

Yegor Sharangovich - Nets power-play marker Sharangovich scored a power-play goal on four shots in Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Bruins.
Impact Sharangovich has two goals over his last three contests after starting his campaign with four scoreless outings following his return from a lower-body injury. The 26-year-old forward has held down a top-six role and saw a season-high 21:56 of ice time Thursday. He's added 17 shots on net and a minus-5 rating. Fantasy managers will want more offense out of him -- he's unlikely to supplement his production with hits or PIM.

Nazem Kadri - Forces overtime Thursday Kadri scored a goal on two shots in Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Bruins.
Impact Kadri is bouncing back from a cold stretch with a point in each of his last two outings after a four-game slump. The center's tally midway through the third period Thursday salvaged a standings point as the Flames kept the game tied before falling in overtime. Kadri is up to eight points, 42 shots on net, 18 PIM and a minus-10 rating through 14 appearances as a top-six center.

Dustin Wolf - Falls in OT Wolf made 34 saves in Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Bruins.
Impact The young goalie blanked Boston in the third period to give his team a chance to rally and force OT. Wolf nearly got the game to a shootout too, but Brad Marchand was able to bang home his own rebound with 20 seconds left in the extra frame. After winning his first three starts of the season, Wolf is 1-2-1 over his last four, giving up at least four goals in each loss.
