Josh Brown - Elevated from minors Brown was recalled from AHL Bakersfield on Thursday.

Impact Brown was sent down Wednesday, which seemed to indicate the Oilers would have a full complement of blueliners for Thursday's matchup with the Wild but it seems that isn't the case. Darnell Nurse (upper body) has already been ruled out, which means Brown will serve as an emergency depth option should something else come up before puck drop.

Darnell Nurse - Could return Saturday Head coach Kris Knoblauch said Thursday that Nurse (upper body) could return for Saturday's game against the Rangers, Tony Brar of Oilers TV reports.

Impact Nurse sustained an upper-body injury against the Maple Leafs on Nov. 16 and carried a return timetable of 5-10 days. While he's been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Wild, he could be back in action after missing under a week. If he's unable to suit up against the Rangers, he'll have plenty of time to recover since the Oilers won't play again until Nov. 29 against Utah.

Impact Arvidsson has missed the last four games and will not dress Thursday at home against Minnesota. The 31-year-old winger was expected to have a big season as a second-line winger with Leon Draisaitl as his center, but that has not come to fruition as Arvidsson has only two goals and five points in 16 games.

Impact Hyman had already been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Wild, and he'll presumably miss Saturday's matchup against the Rangers as well. However, the Oilers have a sizable layoff before facing Utah on Nov. 29, so it wouldn't be surprising to see Hyman back on the ice late next week.

Impact Hyman will miss out Thursday while mired in a six-game goal drought during which he put 15 shots on net. After putting up 77 points in 80 regular-season games last year, Hyman is struggling to produce at that level in 2024-25 and is currently on pace to barely break the 30-point threshold. An extended injury absence certainly won't improve his chances of stringing together points.

Impact Skinner is undefeated in regulation over his last four outings, posting a 3-0-1 record to go with a 2.98 GAA and .871 save percentage. While the Oilers would no doubt prefer the netminder's save percentage was over .900, as long as he keeps earning standings points, he should maintain his spot as the No. 1 option ahead of Calvin Pickard.
