Keith Kinkaid - Signs minor-league deal Kinkaid inked a one-year, minor-league contract with AHL Charlotte on Wednesday.
Impact Kinkaid had started the preseason on a professional tryout deal with the Islanders but it seems he will be heading south to link up with the Checkers. The fact that the 35-year-old backstop is on a minor-league-only deal means that Kinkaid won't be suiting up in the NHL this season -- unless somebody comes calling with an NHL-level contract.

Impact Pulock might be replaced in the lineup by Grant Hutton. The 29-year-old Pulock earned five goals, 19 points, 90 shots on net, 149 blocked shots and 99 hits across 58 regular-season outings in 2023-24. If he doesn't play in the Islanders' preseason finale against the Rangers on Friday, he stands a good chance of being ready for Opening Night versus Utah on Oct. 10.

Still, the 29-year-old Hogberg will compete with Jakub Skarek and Keith Kinkaid, a camp invitee on a professional tryout, for a potential roster spot.
