Aaron Dell - Signs PTO with Sharks Dell penned a professional tryout agreement with the Sharks on Thursday, according to Max Miller of NHL.com.

Impact Dell spent last season in the AHL, going 7-4-1 with a 2.57 GAA and a .914 save percentage with the Kings' farm team in Ontario. Dell last played at the NHL level during the 2022-23 campaign, losing all three games for the Sharks, while allowing nine goals and 103 shots.

Shakir Mukhamadullin - Not available for start of camp Mukhamadullin (lower body) will not be available for the beginning of training camp Thursday.

Impact Mukhamadullin did not play in rookie games last week, but he was expected to be ready for the start of training camp, so he may have had a setback. Mukhamadullin will compete for a job on the bottom pairing and if he is not able to garner a spot, returning to AHL San Jose is likely, as he needs playing time.

Yaroslav Askarov - Not ready for training camp Askarov will miss the start of training camp with a lower-body injury.

Impact Askarov is expected to be the No. 1 goaltender with the Sharks this season, after he was dealt from Nashville on Aug. 23. The 11th overall pick by the Predators in 2020, Askarov is considered by many to be the best goaltender not playing in the NHL. He was 30-13-1 with a 2.39 GAA and a .911 save percentage for AHL Milwaukee last season.

Marc-Edouard Vlasic - Missing start of training camp Vlasic will miss the start of training camp with an upper-body injury.

Impact Vlasic is entering his 19th season in the NHL -- all with San Jose. The veteran had six goals, six assists, 35 hits and 108 blocked shots in 57 games during the regular season in 2023-24. There is no word at this time as to whether or not he will be ready for the start of the regular season Oct. 10 versus St. Louis.

Logan Couture - Not practicing Couture (groin) will not be available for the start of training camp Thursday.

Impact The 35-year-old missed most of last season, playing in only six games, picking up one assist. Couture had 27 goals and 67 points in 82 regular-season appearances during the 2022-23 campaign and is expected to be counted upon to be a veteran presence as the Sharks look towards their young prospects like Macklin Celebrini, Will Smith and William Eklund to lead them offensively in the coming years.
