Impact Emberson has a helper in each of his two games since returning from an upper-body injury that cost him seven contests. The 23-year-old defenseman also had three assists over his five games before the injury. He's been trusted with a significant role in his first campaign, earning nine points, 22 shots on net, 47 hits, 33 blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating while averaging 18:53 of ice time per appearance through 23 outings. His recent uptick on offense should have him on the radar for DFS and deeper fantasy formats.

William Eklund - Productive as center in win Eklund notched a pair of assists, two blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Tuesday's 2-0 win over the Kraken.
Impact Eklund took a turn at center with Tomas Hertl (lower body) not available. The early returns are encouraging -- while Eklund won just four of nine faceoffs, he played a strong 200-foot game and was able to make positive contributions on offense and defense. The 21-year-old has five points over his last four games, and he's up to eight goals, 14 assists, 78 shots on net, 41 blocked shots and a minus-20 rating through 49 contests overall.

Impact Rutta's point streak is at five games (three goals, three assists) after he added the insurance tally Tuesday. The 33-year-old has rarely had such productive stretches in his career, but it coincides with him seeing more consistent top-four usage with Mario Ferraro (lower body) out. Rutta is up to three goals, 12 points, 41 shots on net, 70 blocked shots, 36 hits and a minus-10 rating through 44 appearances this season.

Impact Blackwood has won his last three outings, and Tuesday's effort was arguably his best of the campaign. The Kraken controlled the pace for the first two periods, but the third tilted just in the Sharks' favor. Blackwood improved to 8-17-3 on the year with a 3.51 GAA and an .899 save percentage through 32 contests. This was his first shutout since the 2021-22 campaign. The 27-year-old will likely be on the bench Wednesday, allowing Kaapo Kahkonen to start versus the Ducks.

Impact The Sharks had a 2-0 lead early, and the Sabres responded with five unanswered goals. However, Kahkonen could hardly be faulted on any of them. The first goal was a rebound that didn't get cleared. The second was a cross-crease pass, and the third was a screen. The fourth? A one-timer on a 3-on-2 rush. Still Kahkonen has allowed four goals in three of his five starts since the start of January (1-4-0). The Sharks make life hard for anyone in their blue paint.
