Tolvanen is filling a middle-six role and seeing power-play time, and he's produced three points (two goals) across seven outings. The Finnish forward had his most productive season as an NHLer in 2023-24 -- he generated 16 goals and 41 points across 81 regular-season games.

Ryker Evans - Nets goal against Colorado Evans scored a power-play marker in Tuesday's 3-2 loss versus the Avalanche.
Impact Evans' goal at 19:55 of the third period cut Seattle's deficit to one, but it was too little too late. In addition to scoring, Evans collected four shots, three blocks and two hits in 22:53 of ice time. With Vince Dunn (upper body) on long-term injured reserve, Evans is stepping up his game in all facets, and he's seen increased ice time in each of his last four appearances. The left-shot blueliner has logged two goals, three assists and a plus-5 rating over seven games.

Jared McCann - Extends point streak to four McCann netted an unassisted goal in the second period of Tuesday's 3-2 loss against Colorado.
Impact McCann added two shots, one block and a minus-1 rating in 15:58 of ice time. The left-shot winger is on a roll of late -- he's produced seven points over his last four games. Through seven outings, McCann has generated four goals, five assists, 14 shots, six blocks and a plus-4 rating. The 28-year-old's nine points leads the Kraken, and he'll attempt to extend his point streak to five against Winnipeg on Thursday.

Justin Schultz - Signs in Switzerland Schultz signed a one-year contract with HC Lugano of Switzerland's National League, Chris Johnston of The Athletic reports Wednesday.
Impact Schultz had seven goals and 26 points in 70 regular-season outings with Seattle in 2023-24. The 34-year-old defenseman has collected 71 goals and 324 points across 745 career regular-season appearances between his time with Edmonton, Pittsburgh, Washington and Seattle.

Impact Through four appearances, Grubauer has given up at least three goals on three occasions, and he's been on the hook for three losses. It wouldn't be surprising to see Joey Daccord take the No. 1 netminding role, at least in the short term -- he's won all three of his starts to open the 2024-25 campaign.
