Jordan Eberle - Assist in first game as captain Eberle notched an assist in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Blues.
Impact Eberle was announced as the second captain in Kraken history just before puck drop. The 34-year-old winger signed a two-year extension to stay with the team last March, and he'll likely feature in a top-six role to begin 2024-25. Eberle has topped the 40-point mark in all three of his seasons in Seattle, but at this stage of his career, his fantasy value is limited to deeper formats that emphasize scoring since he doesn't add much physicality.

Eeli Tolvanen - Nets goal in loss Tolvanen scored a goal on two shots in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Blues.
Impact Tolvanen's second-period tally gave the Kraken a 2-0 lead before their defensive collapse later in the frame. The winger put up 41 points and 210 hits in 81 games last season, and he's beginning 2024-25 in a similar third-line role. Tolvanen didn't feature with the power play Tuesday -- he may be not see as much time with the man advantage after the offseason additions of Chandler Stephenson and Brandon Montour and the promotion of Shane Wright. That said, a hot start to the year could help Tolvanen earn more prominent minutes.

Philipp Grubauer - Two-minute collapse leads to loss Grubauer made 22 saves in a 3-2 loss to St. Louis on Tuesday.
Impact Seattle was up 2-0 at the mid-point of the second when Jordan Kyrou went five-hole on the power play. It started a mini collapse, with St. Louis scoring three times in a span of 1:55. Grubauer's teammates were quick post-game to say they'd taken their foot off the gas, but some of it was on him. The final two goals both went glove side, so we have to wonder if that's the book on the German twinetender. Grubauer will be pushed by the rising Joey Daccord, so he needs to get in groove early to set a rhythm.

Vince Dunn - Off to sniping start Dunn opened the scoring Tuesday in a 3-2 loss to the Blues when he stuffed in a rebound 27 seconds into the second period.
Impact Jordan Binnington stopped his shot from the right face-off circle early in the second, but Dunn followed the play and jammed in his own rebound from the top of the crease. He is coming off 46 points (11 goals) in 59 games in 2023-24 and 64 (14 goals) in 81 contests the year before. Both totals put Dunn near the top of the team scoring list in each of those two seasons.

Jared McCann - Set to play Tuesday McCann (lower body) will be in the lineup Tuesday against St. Louis, according to Sound of Hockey.
Impact McCann will be good to go for Seattle's season opener after being a late scratch for the team's preseason finale against Edmonton on Wednesday.
