Michael Pezzetta - No action since late OctoberPezzetta was scratched for the 18th consecutive game in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Capitals.
ImpactPezzetta stayed on the roster over Joshua Roy when Patrik Laine returned to action Dec. 3 against the Islanders. Still, Pezzetta is functioning as a 13th forward and hasn't seen game action since Oct. 27 against the Flyers. He'd require waivers to be sent to AHL Laval for anything other than a conditioning stint. Pezzetta has played at least 50 games in each of the past three seasons, but it'll be nearly impossible for him to reach that mark in 2024-25.

Justin Barron - Filling part-time roleBarron has played in just five of the Canadiens' 16 games since the start of November after sitting out Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Capitals.
ImpactBarron appears to be on the outside looking in for now. Jayden Struble and Arber Xhekaj are ahead of him on the depth chart, though Barron tends to draw in whenever there's an injury concern. For the season, Barron has one goal, 14 shots on net, 15 hits, 15 blocked shots, eight PIM and a minus-6 rating through 13 appearances.

Taylor Raddysh - Notches helper in winRaddysh posted an assist in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Canadiens.
ImpactRaddysh is benefiting from a look on the second line and second power-play unit. He has four points over his last six games during one of his best stretches of the season. Overall, the winger is at 12 points, 31 shots on net, 21 hits and an even plus-minus rating through 27 outings. He had just 14 points in 73 games in 2023-24, but he was at 37 points the year before, so it's good to see him bounce back from a bad season.

Jakob Chychrun - Draws power-play assistChychrun notched a power-play assist and six shots on net in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Canadiens.
ImpactChychrun had been held off the scoresheet in the previous two games. The 26-year-old defenseman set up Dylan Strome's insurance tally at 13:49 of the third period. Chychrun now has 16 points (five on the power play), 48 shots on net, 30 blocked shots, 20 PIM and a plus-11 rating through 22 appearances, a successful start to his Capitals tenure.

John Carlson - Posts helper SaturdayCarlson registered an assist, four shots on goal, four blocked shots and two PIM in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Canadiens.
ImpactCarlson has a goal and five assists over his last six games, though just one of those points has come on the power play. The 34-year-old defenseman is up to 20 points (seven on the power play), 70 shots on net, 51 blocked shots, 24 hits and a plus-13 rating through 27 outings. Carlson remains the Capitals' top blueliner in all situations, which makes him a reliable fantasy contributor.
