NEW YORK, NY – Some of the biggest names in football, including four top-10 teams, come to FOX Sports this weekend, highlighted by a doubleheader on the FOX broadcast network featuring No. 8 Michigan at Purdue and Notre Dame at Michigan State on Saturday, Sept. 23.
Michigan State hosts Notre Dame in prime time on the FOX broadcast network with play-by-play announcer Gus Johnson, analyst Joel Klatt and sideline reporter Jenny Taft calling the action from Spartan Stadium at 8:00 PM ET. The game is also available in social virtual reality on the FOX Sports VR app, with users having the ability to watch together from the best seat in the house while verbally communicating with one another. Saturday’s VR experience also features the c360 Skycam live stream, which provides never-before-seen angles within the app, as well as pregame, halftime and postgame festivities available on FOX Sports’ Facebook, Twitter and YouTube channels.
College football on the FOX broadcast network begins at 4:00 PM ET on Saturday as No. 8 Michigan heads to West Lafayette, Ind., for a Big Ten showdown with Purdue. Joe Davis, Brady Quinn and Bruce Feldman have the call from Ross-Ade Stadium.
The college football weekend begins Friday night with a Pac-12 South battle between No. 23 Utah and Arizona. Coverage begins at 10:00 PM ET with FS1 COLLEGE FOOTBALL PREGAME hosted by Rob Stone with analysts Matt Leinart, Robert Smith and Dave Wannstedt. Friday night’s pregame show is highlighted by the selfless story of several Michigan State players who spent their bye week in Houston helping to clean up the devastating effects of Hurricane Harvey. Taft was in East Lansing earlier this week to speak with Michigan State’s Darrell Stewart Jr. and Tyler Higby, both Houston natives, as well as Matt Sokol, who made the trip to Texas.
FS1’s coverage continues Saturday at 3:00 PM ET as Maryland hosts UCF, followed by No. 3 Oklahoma at Baylor at 6:30 PM ET, which is simulcast in 4K to outlets including DirecTV. Another late-night edition of Pac-12 football closes the evening, as No. 7 Washington visits Colorado at 10:00 PM ET.
