FOX Sports Owns the Weekend – and the Fall – with MLB World Series, College Football, NFL & Expanded Studio Coverage

New York – With its unrivaled slate of MLB postseason games, college football and NFL action, FOX Sports owns the fall. The network’s loaded lineup reaches its apex next weekend, Friday, Oct. 27 through Sunday, Oct. 29, with the GREATEST WEEKEND EVER featuring the World Series, big-time college football and an NFL doubleheader featuring the Cowboys at Redskins in AMERICA’S GAME OF THE WEEK, plus extensive on-site studio coverage.
A full weekend of non-stop action begins Friday, Oct. 27, with a special edition of FIRST THINGS FIRST live from Columbus, Ohio, from 6:30-9:30 AM ET on FS1. Hosts Cris Carter, Nick Wright and Jenna Wolfe begin the weekend with top stories from around the nation and welcome guests before college football fans turn their attention to Ohio Stadium for Penn State at Ohio State the following day on FOX.
Friday night, Game 3 coverage of Major League Baseball’s 113th World Series begins at 7:00 PM ET on FS1 before shifting to the FOX broadcast network at 7:30 PM ET. FOX Sports’ baseball studio crew of Kevin Burkhardt, Alex Rodriguez, David Ortiz, Keith Hernandez and Frank Thomas are live from the site of the game before Joe Buck, John Smoltz, Ken Rosenthal and Tom Verducci take the call at 8:00 PM ET.
When the calendar flips to Saturday, Oct. 28, FOX Sports is back in Columbus for a huge battle in the Big Ten East, as Ohio State hosts Penn State at 3:30 PM ET on FOX. Gus Johnson, Joel Klatt and Jenny Taft call the action from the Horseshoe, while studio host Rob Stone and analysts Matt Leinart, Robert Smith and Dave Wannstedt are live from the field for pregame, halftime and postgame beginning at 3:00 PM ET. BTN TAILGATE provides additional coverage in Columbus beginning at 10:00 AM ET, as Dave Revsine, Gerry DiNardo, Anthony Adams, Stanley Jackson and Michelle McMahon are live from the RPAC on Ohio State’s campus. Once the final whistle blows in Ohio, FOX’s football-baseball doubleheader continues with coverage of World Series Game 4 beginning at 7:30 PM ET.
Sunday, Oct. 29, is anything but a day of rest for FOX Sports with more football and baseball on the schedule. The day begins with FOX NFL KICKOFF at 11:00 AM ET, followed by America’s No. 1 NFL pregame show, FOX NFL SUNDAY, at 12:00 PM ET. Regionalized NFL coverage kicks off at 1:00 PM ET, followed by the Dallas Cowboys at Washington Redskins in AMERICA’S GAME OF THE WEEK at 4:25 PM ET. If necessary, Game 5 of the World Series on FOX closes out the GREATEST WEEKEND EVER with coverage beginning live from site at 7:30 PM ET before first pitch at 8:00 PM ET.
The fun continues even after the weekend ends with the MLS Eastern Conference semifinal first leg on Monday, Oct. 30, and the MLS Western Conference semifinal first leg on Tuesday, Oct. 31. Potential Games 6 and 7 of the World Series on FOX air Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 31 and Nov. 1.
