FOX Sports Launches New Soccer Podcast, Alexi Lalas’ State of the Union
LOS ANGELES, CA – FOX Sports, home of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, today launched a new weekly soccer podcast, Alexi Lalas’ State of the Union, expanding its digital offerings and podcast portfolio ahead of this summer’s most anticipated global event. For its first episode, FOX Sports presents a special edition dedicated to the upcoming U.S. Soccer Presidential election.
The 45-minute conversations premiere every Tuesday at 5:00 AM ET on iTunes and feature Lalas, a U.S. Soccer Hall of Famer, as he examines the issues affecting the sport and provides in-depth analysis on the state of U.S. Soccer and Major League Soccer. Joining the U.S. MNT legend regularly is FOX Sports researcher David Mosse and a rotation of FOX Sports on-air personalities and other top newsmakers.
Lalas serves as the lead studio analyst for the network’s premier soccer portfolio, including UEFA Champions League, U.S. Men’s National Team matches, Major League Soccer, FIFA World Cups and the CONCACAF Gold Cup.
In June, Alexi Lalas’ State of the Union heads to Russia for a special World Cup edition, set to premiere Tuesday, June 12. The World Cup episodes will feature comprehensive tournament previews, analysis and player interviews live from Moscow.
