Road to Russia Heats Up with Mexico, Iceland and England FIFA World Cup™ Tune-Ups on FS1
LOS ANGELES, CA – Juan Carlos Osorio’s Mexico (El Tri) kicks off FS1’s Road to Russia slate of pre-World Cup™ tune-ups today at 10:25 PM ET in a battle against Iceland. Action continues Tuesday, March 27 with a lineup that includes England-Italy, USA-Paraguay and Mexico-Croatia, beginning at 2:30 PM ET on FS1.
El Tri continues its preparation for the 2018 FIFA World Cup™ with two international friendlies against first-time World Cup™ participant Iceland, one of the biggest Cinderella stories of this summer’s event (Friday, March 23 at 10:25 PM ET), followed by Croatia (Tuesday, March 27 at 9:50 PM ET). Former Mexican National team member Mariano Trujillo calls both matches alongside Jorge Perez Navarro, with Rodolfo Landeros reporting from the sideline.
Ian Joy hosts studio coverage for England-Italy (Tuesday, March 27 at 2:30 PM ET) alongside Alexi Lalas and Mario Melchiot. Keith Costigan and Warren Barton are on the call for FS1, with John Laguna and Claudio Suarez on the call in Spanish for FOX Deportes (3:00 PM ET).
