FOX Sports Earns 31 Sports Emmy Award Nominations
FOX Sports received 31 Sports Emmy Award nominations for its outstanding programming and live-event coverage across FOX, FS1, FS2, FOX Deportes, FOXSports.com, BTN and NatGeo.
FOX Sports’ nominees include a wide range of live events, studio shows and original programming. Two nominated documentaries, 89 BLOCKS from FOX Sports Films’ new MAGNIFY series and THE REASON I PLAY from BTN, explore sports as a lens for important cultural stories. FS1’s THE HERD WITH COLIN COWHERD earns its first nomination, while MLB on FOX: The Postseason follows up its win last year with another nomination. FOX Sports is once again well represented in categories that celebrate innovation and technology, including nominations for the George Wensel Technical Achievement Award for FOX College Football’s use of C360, and a special edition of 100,000 CAMERAS capturing special moments during Ohio State vs. Michigan.
Additionally, a number of FOX Sports on-air personalities were acknowledged for their work in 2017, including first-time nominees Alexi Lalas and Curt Menefee, as well as Joe Buck, Ken Rosenthal, John Smoltz, Michael Strahan and Tom Verducci.
