Big Ten Hoops Returns to FOX and FS1 for 2018-19 Season
NEW YORK – Today, FOX Sports announced the return of Big Ten basketball for the 2018-19 season with nearly 40 matchups to be televised on the FOX broadcast network and FS1. This season’s schedule features multiple appearances by each of the conference’s NCAA tournament participants a season ago, including Big Ten tournament winner and NCAA runner-up Michigan and regular-season conference champion Michigan State, plus NIT champion Penn State and more.
FOX Sports’ Big Ten slate tips off on Friday, Nov. 23, as Ohio State hosts Cleveland State at 8:00 PM ET on FS1, the night before the city of Columbus prepares to host FOX Sports for another big event – the historic Michigan at Ohio State football rivalry.
A marquee non-conference matchup opens FOX Sports’ Big Ten broadcast schedule, as Louisville heads north for a cross-border showdown with Indiana on Saturday, Dec. 8, at 2:30 PM ET on the FOX broadcast network.
Once the calendar flips to 2019, the Big Ten Conference season kicks into high gear with games on FOX and FS1, including top matchups like Michigan State at Ohio State (Saturday, Jan. 5, 12:00 PM ET on FOX), Purdue at Wisconsin (Friday, Jan. 11, 9:00 PM ET on FS1) and Indiana at Purdue (Saturday, Jan. 19, 2:00 PM ET on FOX) just in the month of January alone.
Additionally, BTN televises more than 130 games from the Big Ten, including more than 75 conference matchups and 10 Big Ten Tournament contests from the United Center in Chicago. Start times and television designations for the Gavitt Tipoff Games will be announced at a later date. All eight games from the annual challenge between the Big Ten and BIG EAST conferences appear on FS1 or BTN.
