LOS ANGELES – The longest-serving captain of the U.S. Women’s National Team and one of the sport’s most prominent figures, Christie Pearce Rampone, makes her debut as a studio analyst during FS1’s presentation of the Concacaf Women’s Championship Sunday, Oct. 14 at 5:00 PM ET.
A two-time World Cup™ champion and three-time Olympic gold medalist, Pearce Rampone joins lead studio host Rob Stone and analysts Alexi Lalas and Meghan Klingenberg for pregame, halftime and postgame coverage live from Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas. The quartet provides expert analysis as the United States, Panama, Canada and Jamaica fight for two automatic berths to the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup™ in France.
Over the course of her illustrious 20-year career with the U.S. WNT, Pearce Rampone made the second most appearances in the history of international women’s soccer, with 311 caps. At the club level, she played for Central Jersey Splash, Buffalo Ffillies, New Jersey Lady Stallions, New York Power, Sky Blue FC, magicJack and Sky Blue FC, making her one of the only players to compete in all three U.S. pro women’s leagues – The National Women’s Soccer League, Women’s United Soccer Association and Women’s Professional Soccer.
Future National Soccer Hall of Fame inductee JP Dellacamera, former U.S. WNT member and two-time Olympic gold medalist Aly Wagner and reporter Alex Curry are on the call for both semifinals. Panama kicks off FS1’s doubleheader presentation in search of its first Women’s World Cup qualification against Canada at 5:00 PM ET. Coverage continues at 7:00 PM ET as the reigning U.S. WNT faces Jamaica.
Immediately following FS1’s postgame show, coverage then shifts to FOX Soccer’s Digital platforms with a special edition of “FOX Soccer Live” hosted by Rob Stone on FOX Soccer’s Facebook and Twitter pages.
