FOX Sports Scores 20th Consecutive Month of Overall Digital Growth

LOS ANGELES – FOX Sports finished February 2019 with its 20th consecutive month of overall digital growth in both video views and consumption minutes across authenticated live and partner social platforms. During the 20-month window, the company has recorded an average year-over-year increase of 83 million video views each month. Key drivers of February’s increases include:
- Time-spent per-view up +20% YoY on VOD content across social and O&O platforms
- FOX Sports’ best month ever on Instagram — video views up +165% YoY
- Twitter video views up +33% YoY
- YouTube video views: up +17% YoY
The brand ranks third among 35 measured U.S. sports media in total monthly video views across Facebook and YouTube, according to social media analytics agency Shareablee.
Year-over-year streaming video views growth continues to be driven by in-season sports programming: College basketball (+69%), NASCAR (+85%), and daytime FS1 studio shows (+77%). College Basketball’s average minute audience for the season is also up +38% YoY.
Central to this cross-platform growth is creative, monetizable content, bringing fans closer to the biggest live sports events with behind-the-scenes access and more. February highlights include:

- 3.6 billion total minutes and 558 million video views across all platforms
- The Herd, Undisputed, and First Things First (VOD clips) each had a record year for video views on Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and Facebook. FS1 studio shows tallied 1.6 billion total views across those social platforms, growing +44% YoY
- Streaming platforms had their best year ever:
- Up +96% YoY in video minutes-consumed and up +121% in views YoY
