74th U.S. Women’s Open Championship Tees Off on FOX and FS1

Charleston, S.C. – FOX Sports’ 2019 USGA championship programming continues with the 74th U.S. Women’s Open Championship, live from the Country Club of Charleston in Charleston, S.C. Coverage is highlighted by 20 hours of live golf across FS1 and the FOX broadcast network, in addition to bonus coverage of featured groups and early weekday action totaling 25 hours across usga.org and the FOX Sports App.
Today, live championship coverage began with WEDNESDAY AT THE U.S. WOMEN’S OPEN, featuring practice round content, player interviews and a first look at this year’s field. Highlights include a swing demonstration on the driving range with Morgan Pressel, as well as a conversation with Gaby Lopez on what she’s most excited about for this year’s championship.
Competition officially begins Thursday, May 30 from 2:30 to 7:30 PM ET on FS1, and continues Friday, May 31 on FS1 in the same window. The third and final rounds air on the FOX broadcast network on Saturday and Sunday, June 1-2 from 2:00 to 7:00 PM ET. In addition, EPICS: MICHELLE WIE BREAKTHROUGH AT PINEHURST, an hour-long exploration of Michelle Wie’s triumphant road to victory in the 2014 U.S. Women’s Open airs Thursday at 7:30 PM ET on FS1.
On Thursday and Friday, Shane Bacon performs play-by-play duties alongside analysts Brad Faxon and Juli Inkster, a two-time U.S. Women’s Open champion. Inkster is joined by Emmy Award-winning broadcaster Joe Buck and lead analyst Paul Azinger in the 18th Tower throughout the weekend.
On the course, reporting duties are performed by LPGA Tour winner and two-time Solheim Cup team member Nicole Castrale and longtime PGA Tour competitor Brett Quigley. For the third and final rounds, they are joined on-course by Faxon, while Bacon contributes to hole announcing. Joel Klatt conducts interviews and former USGA Executive Director David Fay is on hand for rules analysis.
