MLS All-Stars Mic’d Up for Live In-Game Broadcast
Conversations During Marquee Matchup
LOS ANGELES – FOX Sports brings viewers closer to the action for the 2019 MLS All-Star Game presented by Target with mic’d up players and a 4K telecast for the first time ever. Live coverage begins Wednesday, July 31, at 7:30 PM ET on FS1, as MLS All-Stars battle 10-time La Liga champions Atletico Madrid.
MLS All-Stars Brad Guzan, Chris Wondolowski, Walker Zimmerman and Paxton Pomykal will wear microphones and IFB earpieces for two-way conversations with FOX Sports’ broadcasters during the match. Hometown Orlando City SC’s Nani will also join in during pregame warmup.
FOX Sports lead play-by-play announcer John Strong calls the match alongside lead match analyst Stu Holden, with Katie Witham reporting from the sideline. Rob Stone hosts pregame, halftime and postgame studio coverage from a field-level set alongside analysts Alexi Lalas and Maurice Edu.
In addition, the first-ever 4K broadcast of the MLS All Star Game is available on AppleTV 4K and Roku devices with 4K support via the FOX Sports App and FOX NOW. The 4K broadcast will also be available on select multichannel video programming distributors – check local listings for more information.
The broadcast will also feature Skycam technology, corner flag cameras, and interviews with MLS Commissioner Don Garber, WWE superstar Finn Bálor and LA Galaxy’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Pregame digital coverage begins at 7:15 PM ET on FOXSports.com, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. The match can be live-streamed via FOXSports.com and the FOX Sports app on iOS and Android as well as connected devices, including Apple TV, Android TV, FireTV, Roku, Chromecast and Xbox One.
