FOX Sports Concludes 2019 USGA Championship Season With Uninterrupted Coverage of U.S. Amateur
Village of Pinehurst, N.C. – FOX Sports completes its 2019 USGA championship broadcast season with the 2019 U.S. Amateur Championship, live from Pinehurst Resort and Country Club in the Village of Pinehurst, N.C.
Coverage is highlighted by 15 hours of live golf across FS1 and the FOX broadcast network, in addition to 4 hours of bonus coverage on usga.org. Viewers will experience an uninterrupted broadcast of the entire competition as part of the USGA Championships on FOX presented by Rolex.
Round of 64 coverage begins on Wednesday, August 14 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM ET on FS1, and continues with round of 16 and quarterfinal match coverage on Thursday and Friday, August 15 and 16 in the same window, respectively. Weekend coverage switches to the FOX broadcast network, with semifinal matches from 3:00 to 6:00 PM ET on Saturday, August 17 and championship match coverage from 3:30 to 6:30 PM ET on Sunday, August 18.
Shane Bacon performs play-by-play duties, while two-time U.S. Open winner Curtis Strange and eight-time PGA Tour winner Brad Faxon provide analysis. PGA Tour veteran Brett Quigley contributes to hole announcing, while LPGA Tour standout Nicole Castrale and longtime PGA professional Michael Breed serve as on-course reporters. Former USGA Executive Director David Fay serves as rules expert.
