Emmy Award-Winning Studio Show Returns Full Cast
New York – As the sun rises on October, FOX Sports puts together an impressive lineup of broadcasters for its coverage of the MLB Postseason, announced today by Executive Vice President, Head of Production & Operations and Executive Producer Brad Zager.
The network prepares to deliver baseball’s biggest, live moments, with coverage of the American League Division Series presented by Doosan (ALDS), American League Championship Series (ALCS) and World Series presented by YouTubeTV.
Beginning Friday, Oct.4, coverage leads off with Game 1 of the ALDS, as the Tampa Bay Rays/Oakland Athletics battle the Houston Astros at 2:00 PM ET on FS1. Joe Girardi makes his FOX Sports postseason debut, teaming with veteran play-by-play announcer Kenny Albert, two-time MLB All-Star and World Series Champion AJ Pierzynski and reporter Jon Paul Morosi to call the action.
The Minnesota Twins look to take a bite out of the Big Apple when they face the New York Yankees in Game 2 of the ALDS, Saturday, Oct. 5 at 5:00 PM ET on FS1. The accomplished group of play-by-play announcer Joe Davis and first-ballot Hall of Famer and World Series Champion John Smoltz once again team with Emmy Award-winning reporters Ken Rosenthal and Tom Verducci.
For both the ALCS and World Series, Smoltz reunites with multi-Emmy Award-winning announcer Joe Buck in the booth. This marks Buck’s 22nd Fall Classic with the network. Rosenthal and Verducci also return, bringing viewers inside information from the field.
In the studio, pregame and postgame coverage returns a highly touted cast of experts and entertainers. Host Kevin Burkhardt anchors the desk of familiar faces with Hall of Famer Frank Thomas and World Series Champions Alex Rodriguez and David Ortiz. World Series Champion and two-time MLB All-Star Dontrelle Willis joins for select games throughout the Postseason as a pitching analyst.
FOX Deportes provides all-inclusive coverage of the 2019 MLB Postseason, led by play-by-play announcer Rolando Nichols, analyst Edgar Gonzalez and reporter Carlos Alvarez. Nichols, Gonzalez and Alvarez are set to be on-site for the Fall Classic, airing exclusively in Spanish on FOX Deportes.
All Postseason matchups are simulcast on the FOX Sports app, which now provides live streaming video of FOX Sports content through iOS and Android devices.
