Special Two-Hour Edition of BIG NOON KICKOFF Live from State Fair of Texas
Legendary Oklahoma Coach Bob Stoops Makes Guest Appearance
New York – FOX Sports goes all in for its coverage of the annual Red River Showdown on Saturday, Oct. 12, bringing the full cast of BIG NOON KICKOFF delivered by Wendy’s® to the State Fair of Texas for a special two-hour pregame show. A BIG NOON SATURDAY matchup, Oklahoma vs. Texas kicks off at 12:00 PM ET on FOX.
BIG NOON KICKOFF host Rob Stone and analysts Brady Quinn, Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart and Urban Meyer are live outside Cotton Bowl Stadium beginning at 10:00 AM ET on FOX, bringing viewers the latest news and analysis from around the country leading up to one of college football’s biggest rivalries. Once the action begins on the field, FOX Sports lead college football play-by-play announcer Gus Johnson, analyst Joel Klatt and reporter Jenny Taft have the call.
Saturday’s show also features an appearance from legendary Sooners coach Bob Stoops, who led Oklahoma to 10 Big 12 titles and a national championship, holds the program’s all-time wins record and now leads the XFL’s Dallas Renegades. The pregame also includes a sit-down interview between Klatt and Longhorns quarterback Sam Ehlinger, and Emmy Award-winning reporter Tom Verducci presents his latest college football feature, a look at the history of the Golden Hat trophy, given to the winning team of each year’s Red River Showdown.
The studio location, on Lone Star Boulevard between the Texas Hall of State and the Esplanade, features special pregame fan giveaways and activities, courtesy of FOX Sports and its partners. The State Fair of Texas opens its doors at 7:00 AM CT Saturday, allowing fans to be in position early for the pregame show.
FOX Sports presents complete coverage of the Red River Showdown on the FOX Sports app, as well as complementary digital coverage beginning with a special edition of Klatt’s Facebook Live show, “Breaking the Huddle presented by Dr Pepper,” on Friday, Oct. 11. During the game on Saturday, FOX Sports’ digital offerings include a Wendy’s Watch Party from the State Fair of Texas grounds, plus content created by FOX Sports University students in the form of “All-Access” sponsored by Wendy’s and “FOX Field Pass” and “Game Week” sponsored by American Eagle.
