Red River Showdown Highlights FOX College Football 2020 Fall Schedule
NEW YORK – Coming off its most watched regular season ever, FOX Sports announces its 2020 fall college football schedule highlighted by the expansion of its widely acclaimed BIG NOON KICKOFF pregame show. Led by the sport’s most accomplished personalities – Urban Meyer, Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart, Brady Quinn and host Rob Stone – BIG NOON KICKOFF sponsored by Wendy’s extends to two hours each week, covering the latest news and biggest games in all of college football. The show kicks off Saturday, Sept. 12, at 10:00 AM ET on FOX ahead of BIG NOON SATURDAY sponsored by AT&T Business at 12:00 PM ET.
“Heading into a season that’s sure to be unlike anything we’ve encountered before, we look forward to the challenge and opportunity of delivering college football fans the sport’s best and most relevant coverage,” said Mark Silverman, FOX Sports President, National Networks. “We’re excited to expand our BIG NOON franchise with a longer pregame show, offering even more insight and analysis, and of course, Urban’s Playbook.”
FOX Sports’ 2020 fall college football lineup includes top games from the Big 12 Conference, featuring the historic Red River Showdown between Oklahoma and Texas from Cotton Bowl Stadium in Dallas on Saturday, Oct. 10. Last year’s Red River Showdown on FOX pulled in 7,313,000 viewers – the network’s most-watched Big 12 game ever and the rivalry’s best performance in a decade.
The fall season kicks off Friday, Sept. 11, as SMU and TCU play for the Iron Skillet in the teams’ 100th all-time meeting at 9:00 PM ET on FS1. The following day, coverage begins at 10:00 AM ET on FOX with the season debut of BIG NOON KICKOFF, followed by Louisiana Tech at Baylor in head coach Dave Aranda’s debut with the Bears at 12:00 PM ET. FS1 televises three games on Saturday, Sept. 12, beginning at 12:00 PM ET.
Led by its BIG NOON SATURDAY game of the week, FOX College Football enjoyed its most-watched regular season in 2019 with an average audience of 3,727,000 – a +12% increase over the previous year. BIG NOON KICKOFF averaged 1,206,000 in its debut season, a +23% jump over the network’s 2018 college football pregame show.
College football on FOX and FS1 is simulcast on the new FOX Sports app, which provides live streaming video of FOX Sports content through iOS and Android devices.
