2022 BIG EAST Women’s Basketball Tournament Tips Off with FOX Sports
Play-by-Play Announcer Lisa Byington and Analyst Sarah Kustok on the Call for Semifinals and Championship Matchups on FS1
Los Angeles – Today, FOX Sports kicks off its extensive conference tournament coverage with its presentation of the BIG EAST Women’s Basketball Tournament, held Friday, March 4, through Monday, March 7, at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT.
FOX Sports play-by-play announcer Lisa Byington and analyst Sarah Kustok are on the call for semifinal and championship matchups on FS1. They are joined by a bevy of talented broadcasters for early game action and extensive on-site studio coverage throughout the tournament.
First-round matchups begin today on the BIG EAST Digital Network starting at 11:00 AM ET with No. 8 seed Providence taking on No. 9 seed Georgetown. Play-by-play announcers John Fanta and Matt Schumacker pair with analysts Kim Adams and Harry Perretta in the booth, specific game assignments are detailed below.
On Saturday, quarterfinals tip-off on FS1 at 12:00 PM ET when the winner of Friday’s 8 vs. 9 matchup takes on top-seeded UConn. The quarterfinals continue on FS2 throughout the afternoon. Fanta, Schumacker, Adams and Perretta again provide play-by-play and analysis.
Sunday’s semifinal games air on FS1 at 3:00 PM and 5:30 PM ET with Byington and Kustok on the call and Adams on the sidelines. The trio continues Monday with the championship tilt, beginning at 8:00 PM ET on FS1.
On-site studio coverage provides insight and analysis throughout the tournament with a rotating cast of hosts and analysts, including Meghan Caffrey, Ashley Liotus and Johnny Soper, in addition to Adams, Fanta, Schumacker and Perretta.
