USMNT’s Epic Rematch with England Takes Center Stage on Black Friday After America Opens Play on First Day of Tournament
Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal and Neymar’s Brazil Set the Thanksgiving Table as Lead-Ins to Annual NFL on FOX Thanksgiving Game
LOS ANGELES – FOX Sports, America’s English-language home for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ , today unveiled its comprehensive broadcast schedule for this year’s most anticipated sporting event worldwide. From Monday, Nov. 21 through Sunday, Dec. 18, FOX Sports will present all 64 matches live across FOX (35) and FS1 (29) with every match live streaming on the FOX Sports App.
The 35-match presentation on FOX broadcast television is headlined by 21 group stage matches, six round of 16 matches, four quarterfinal matches, two semifinal matches, the third-place match and the FIFA World Cup™ Final. Thirty four of the 35 matches scheduled to air on FOX will be televised in the 10:00 AM ET, 11:00 AM ET or 2:00 PM ET windows. An additional 27 group stage matches and two round of 16 matches will air on FS1. Accompanying FOX Sports’ multiplatform coverage, all 64 FIFA World Cup™ matches will stream live on the FOX Sports App.
Appearing in their 11th FIFA World Cup™, the United States Men’s National Team will face three opponents out of Group B with all three matches airing on FOX at 2:00 PM ET. The USMNT open play on the first day of the tournament, Monday, Nov. 21, at Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium in Al Rayyan against the winner of the UEFA Playoff scheduled for June between Wales, Scotland and Ukraine.
The USMNT’s highly anticipated rematch with England takes center stage the day after Thanksgiving, Friday, Nov. 25 from Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor. The showdown with England marks the third all-time FIFA World Cup™ meeting between the two sides and the first since 2010 when their group stage match ended in a 1-1 draw. The USMNT’s final group stage match vs. IR Iran will take place Tuesday, Nov. 29, from Al Thumama Stadium in Doha. Live coverage for every USMNT match will begin an hour before kickoff and feature a 30-minute postgame show on FOX.
David Neal, Executive Producer of FIFA World Cup™ on FOX and Vice President of Production for FOX Sports, celebrated the broadcast schedule as a win for viewers nationwide.

FOX Sports will produce 226 total hours of live first-run programming around the tournament. The 226 hours of live coverage are comprised of matches (128 hours) and studio programming from site (98 hours). FIFA World Cup™ studio programming on linear alone will span 98 hours, and addition digital offerings will be announced in the coming months.
FIFA WORLD CUP™ LIVE, a table-setting show looking forward to the day ahead, will air every day at 4:00 AM ET between FOX and FS1 through the first eight days of the tournament and shift to 9:00 AM ET and 1:00 PM ET starts through the finale. FIFA WORLD CUP™ TODAY, a bridge show between matches delivering pre-and-post match insights and analysis, will air every day between FOX and FS1 throughout the entirety of the tournament. Between FIFA WORLD CUP™ LIVE and FIFA WORLD CUP™ TODAY, every match of the tournament will feature an hour-long pregame. FIFA WORLD CUP™ TONIGHT will air each night of the tournament on FOX at 12:00 AM in all time zones recapping the day’s action with interviews, highlights and more from the most recognizable names in soccer.

• FOX will air the first match between Netherlands and Senegal on Monday, Nov. 21 at 5:00 AM ET from Al Thumama Stadium. Host country Qatar open play vs. Ecuador hours later in Al Bayt Stadium at 11:00 AM ET on FOX. The next day, Tuesday, Nov. 22, at 2:00 PM ET on FOX, reigning FIFA World Cup™ Champion France will play the winner of the Intercontinental Playoff scheduled for June between Australia, Peru and United Arab Emirates. That match will take place at Al Janoub Stadium in Al Wakrah.
• FOX Sports will serve up a FIFA World Cup™ Thanksgiving Day feast on Thursday, Nov. 24 featuring soccer powerhouses and global icons in their tournament debuts. Luis Suárez and Uruguay take on Korea Republic on FS1 at 8:00 AM ET from Education City Stadium in Al Rayyan, while Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal open play vs. Ghana on FOX at 11:00 AM ET from Stadium 974 in Doha. Neymar and Brazil play Serbia on FOX at 2:00 PM ET from Lusail Stadium in Doha with coverage leading directly into the NFL ON FOX pregame show at 4:00 PM ET.
• The FIFA World Cup™ Final will air on FOX, Sunday, Dec.18 at 10:00 AM ET from Lusail Stadium. Live coverage will begin at 9:00 AM ET with a special, one-hour edition of FIFA WORLD CUP™ LIVE.
• Coverage of all the FIFA World Cup™ action produced by FOX Sports will feature an elite roster of prominent FOX soccer analysts, hosts, tournament legends and more personalities that will be announced in the summer. All-new shoulder, studio, entertainment and digital programming around the tournament, including pre-and-post-match shows, will also be announced in the coming months.
The 2022 Men’s tournament is next in line for FOX Sports following award-winning and record-breaking coverage of the Men’s tournament in 2018 and the Women’s Tournament in 2015 and 2019. FOX Sports’ inaugural coverage of the FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015™ won two Emmys, including Outstanding Technical Team Studio and Outstanding Production Design/Art Direction.
