FOX Sports’ ‘Voices’ Spotlights the HBCU Renaissance
FOX Sports’ acclaimed series VOICES, featuring diverse sports stories impacting our communities and culture, returns with an all-new episode spotlighting the HBCU Renaissance premiering Sunday, April 24 at 2 p.m. ET on FOX.
FOX Sport’s Curt Menefee is joined by former All-Star and World Series Champion Dontrelle Willis to discuss timely social justice topics that reach beyond the field of play and create a space where marginalized voices can be heard.
The special episode provides an exclusive peek at HBCU football with Jackson State Head Coach and NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders providing behind-the-scenes access into preparation for the upcoming football season.
Additionally, viewers will get an inside look at FOX Sports’ historic college basketball presentation featuring Notre Dame at Howard which aired live on FOX on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day in January. The momentous event reverberated far beyond the game of basketball.
The new VOICES episode will also introduce viewers to the future Tennessee State University hockey program. TSU is the first school working to bring the sport to an HBCU campus.
Jackie Robinson’s legacy is also celebrated in the special as current league players reflect on his life and legacy and how Robinson transformed the game of baseball forever.
