FOX SPORTS ANNOUNCES SELECTIONS FOR SATURDAY BASEBALL GAME OF THE WEEK
Today, FOX Sports announced its selections for this weekend’s FOX SATURDAY BASEBALL GAME OF THE WEEK regionalized coverage on the FOX broadcast network. The final two Saturdays of the regular season are designated as “wild card” dates, allowing FOX Sports and MLB to choose games with postseason implications.
At 1:00 PM ET on Saturday, Sept. 20, most of the country focuses its attention on Kansas City where the Tigers and Royals square off at Kauffman Stadium as both teams jockey for Division and Wild Card playoff spots. The Tigers hold a 1.5 game lead on the Royals in the American League Central Division, while the Royals are two games ahead of the Seattle Mariners for the second AL Wild Card slot. Meanwhile, Matt Kemp, Yasiel Puig and the Dodgers travel to the Windy City to take on the Cubs and close the door on their second straight National League West Division crown. Coverage begins at 12:30 PM ET with the FOX MLB Pregame Show with Ryan Field, Eric Karros and Frank Thomas.
