3-1 Cardinals’ Win Over Dodgers in NLDS Game 3 Powers FOX Sports 1 to Best Monday Night Ever
Los Angeles – The St. Louis Cardinals aren’t the only team smacking dingers this postseason. Last night’s 3-1 St. Louis Cardinals’ victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 3 of the National League Division Series, powered by long balls from Matt Carpenter and Kolten Wong, was another audience home run for FOX Sports 1.
Game 3 of the National League Division Series presented by Budweiser between the Dodgers and Cardinals, drew an audience of 2.887 million viewers, driving FOX Sports 1 to its most-watched Monday show ever and projects to be its most-watched Monday prime time ever. It is the seventh most-watched telecast in FOX Sports 1 history, joining Cardinals-Dodgers NLDS Game 1 (1st) and Giants-Nationals NLDS Game 2 (5th) to crack the channel’s top-10 list, all within the last four days.
Last night’s game averaged 1.962 million viewers in the first half hour (9:00-9:30 PM ET), and peaked at 3.325 million at the end (12:00-12:14 AM ET), according to Nielsen.
Local ratings in competing markets continue a record-setting pace. St. Louis led all markets, posting a 23.4/35, a new record in the market and the highest metered-market rating ever for an event on FOX Sports 1. Los Angeles also set a new FOX Sports 1 record, notching a 7.6/12.
Through four games, the NLDS on FOX Sports 1 presented by Budweiser is averaging 2.937 million viewers for each game.
On the digital front, Dodgers-Cardinals NLDS Game 3 drove FOX Sports GO to its best Monday ever. In fact, FOX Sports GO has touted record-setting figures every day in the series thus far, including its best day ever for authenticated viewership on Saturday, Oct. 4, thanks to Giants-Nationals NLDS Game 2, which went a record 18 innings.
