FOX Sports 1 Debuts Two NASCAR Specials Sunday
Fox Sports 1 premieres two NASCAR specials on Sunday, June 14, including one in which fans make their voices heard on issues to be addressed by NASCAR, and a second in which Stewart-Haas Racing drivers share their collective voice as a quartet for the first time ever.
NASCAR FANS SPEAK and BEING: STEWART-HAAS RACING debut at 5:30 PM ET and 6:00 PM ET, respectively, on Sunday, immediately following FOX Sports 1’s live telecast of the NASCAR SPRINT CUP SERIES race from Michigan (1:00 PM ET) and post-race coverage on FOX SPORTS LIVE (4:30 PM ET).
NASCAR FANS SPEAK, a 30-minute “electronic town hall,” explores a variety of topics that most interest fans as determined by their online vote. This special edition of NASCAR RACE HUB presents NASCAR Executive VP and Chief Racing Development Officer Steve O’Donnell with topics garnering the most votes on FOXSports.com in a poll running Wednesday, June 10 through Saturday, June 13. O’Donnell then joins host John Roberts and analyst Jeff Hammond from the Hollywood Hotel at Michigan to respond to the most-popular issues. On Wednesday, June 10, the list of possible topics, including length of races, racing in the rain and length of the season, among others, posts to FOXSports.com.
At 6:00 PM ET on Sunday, BEING: STEWART HAAS RACING delves into the most dynamic and diverse team in the sport, featuring separate and group interviews with Tony Stewart, Kevin Harvick, Kurt Busch and Danica Patrick, marking the first time all four have been interviewed together. The only NASCAR SPRINT CUP SERIES team comprised of three champions, a driver/owner and a female driver, Stewart-Haas Racing has faced its share of questions regarding whether the unique combination of talent and personality would work. In a roundtable, the four share their perspectives on the organization, their goals and how they mesh off-the-track, providing insight into what BEING: STEWART-HAAS RACING is all about. Danielle Trotta hosts the one-hour special in which Matt Yocum sits down with the quartet.
FOX Sports 1’s live coverage of on-track action from Michigan begins Friday, June 12 at 11:30 AM ET with NASCAR SPRINT CUP SERIES practice.
