USGA on FOX Arrives at Del Paso for 2015 U. S. Senior Open Championship
Preparing its presentation for the next of the United States Golf Association’s signature world-class events, FOX Sports today announced the broadcast schedule for this week’s 36th U.S. Senior Open Championship at Del Paso Country Club in Sacramento, Calif. Boosting what was already a record programming effort, the coverage was enhanced by the addition of three more hours, pushing the event total to 23 live hours, most in the championship’s history.
Coverage begins Thursday and Friday, June 24 and 25 on FOX Sports 1 from 3:00 to 9:30 PM ET. Weekend rounds on Saturday and Sunday, June 26 and 27, are televised exclusively on local FOX broadcast stations from 2:00 to 7:00 PM ET. In the event of a tie at the conclusion of Sunday’s final round, an immediate playoff ensues and live coverage continues until a winner is decided.
Seven-time Emmy Award-winning announcer Joe Buck serves as the lead U.S. Senior Open on FOX announcer for the live action and is joined by lead analyst, World Golf Hall of Famer and two-time major champion Greg Norman in the 18th Tower throughout the week. Other analysts include Brad Faxon, Steve Flesch, Juli Inkster and Scott McCarron, while Charles Davis (Thursday-Friday) and Holly Sonders (Saturday-Sunday) conduct post-round interviews. Sonders also hosts on-site studio coverage, including Wednesday’s U.S. SENIOR OPEN PREVIEW SHOW (4:00 PM ET, FOX Sports 1) and a pair of half-hour U.S. SENIOR OPEN WRAP-UP shows on FOX Sports 1 following Thursday and Friday’s opening rounds (9:30 PM ET, FOX Sports 1).
